Bit of trivia in this post. I originally started shooting on film, over 10 years ago at least. I made the switch to digital in 2003, althought I did have a compact digital before that (an Olympus C2020Z).

Anyhow, the oldest date in my library for my first DSLR is 17th June 2003, and it was a Canon D60. I appear to have used 3 lenses on that day: A Canon 28-200mm, a Canon 50mmm f1.8 and a Soligar 19-35mm, which I quickly changed for a Sigma 17-35mm.

That night I mixed Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze in a great solo show (I’ve worked with him again since, and with Chris Difford). None of the shots are great, because I was getting to grips with the camera, and working of course! Still it’s great that due to digital cameras EXIF information, I can know when I shot and what equipment I used even from 8 years ago-ancient history in the digital revolution.
