I’m just back from a week teaching lighting with speedlites, Lightroom and Photoshop as a member of the 6 strong team including and organized by Paul RG Haley. This bi annual residential week is great fun and very intense. Up until now, it’s been in Roaches Hall in Buxton, but this time we made the move to Plas Glansevin, about 90 minutes north of Cardiff over the Brecon Beacons. The week consists of 3 full days of teaching with multiple classes running concurrently from 9am. Food and accommodation in the mansion are included in the price. Classes finish at dinner time, but there’s further sessions available for 1:1 training. I was pretty much busy from 9am until 11pm each night.

I love seeing people responding to teaching and coming away with new understanding. I did get asked was I a teacher or a photographer because they don’t see so much of my work. Well I am a photographer that happens to teach too. But I’m primarily a photographer. I’ll have to post more to prove that I guess!

There was loads of great feedback from all the classes, and everyone went home with a head full of new knowledge and practice to reinforce the understanding of it!

Anyway, here’s some stuff I shot there, some as part of classes and some for fun.
