It’s been hard to get back to blogging after my trip to Scotland. It’s just been mad here, especially as I go through all the images, making selects, keywording. It also leads to me to considering my options on stock sales.

The photo above is from Sanna Bay. I found the layout of the beaches too busy to find a composition in, despite seeing Joe Cornish images from there. I opted for details instead. This was shot with both a 4 stop ND filter and a 3 Stop ND Grad, both by Hitech (Formatt is the parent company for these)

I also shot a few timelapse sets on the trip, here’s one from Glen Etive.

I’m curious how you assembled the timelapse video. I’ve tried a few products and haven’t been happy with my results so far…

Sanna was lovely for so many reasons – but yes, too cluttered. I too took details – will have to post them soon!

Sean, I name the files with a sequence on import, then I just apply a 16:9 crop in Grid to all the images. I export as 1280X720 size files. Next I open Quicktime Pro and use File>Open Image Sequence, selecting the first image in the sequence. Usually I choose a frame rate of 24fps, but sometimes I can get away with 15 to make the movie look longer. This is 24fps.

Awesome, thanks! I’ll try that next time.
